His Pain, Your Gain

On the back of the t-shirt I wear jogging has a hand with a nail through it with the caption, “His Pain, Your Gain.” The blood was needed to wash way my sins, but I think that the worst of it for Jesus was the 3 hours he was on the cross in darkness. I’m sure the pain of the nails and the fresh lash marks were painful but I feel the worst of it was the sorrow of the separation Jesus had to go through; the hours that God the Father turned His back on His own Son. God had to look away because God is so pure, He can not look on sin and Jesus became sin for us.

The pain and agony the lost will feel for all eternity after the Great White Throne Judgment, Jesus felt on the cross for 3 hours. The pain that I will never have to feel, He felt for me. Thank you my Lord and My Savior for taking my place.
