Playing In The Mud

My personally is one that pushes the limits. I question just about everything, and I will try new things if they don’t go against the Bible. I do the same thing with my body. Fives year back I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane for the fun of it and will do it again sometime in the near future.

Now that I’m back into good physical shape, I’m doing the same thing with my running in 5K runs. My desire is to do a triathlon sometime next year. A few weeks ago I saw a photo of a friend running in a “Mud Run” in his Facebook profile. I asked him about it and he said it’s basically an 8K run through mud. I thought, “That would be cool to do.” I spoke with a guy at the gym I go to yesterday about races he has been in and he mentioned ASYMCA Mud Run in August. Yes, I’m registered for it. The course will be a challenge as I run, walk, trot, crawl, climb over and under mud, sand dunes, obstacles, hills, trails, walls and sand. I think for now this will be a great challenge to put myself. The run is at the home of 5 S.E.A.L. teams (NAB Little Creek in Norfolk, VA) so it will be cool to run where S.E.A.L. team members train. I’m sure they will be running in the race. The official website for this run has some cool photo. If interested in looking in the website or joining in the craziness, here’s the website: http://www.asymcamudrun.com.
